Jane Educator in the Senior Preschool Room (4-5 years) Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years). Jane has been a part of the Willows team since 2001. ‘I believe children are capable, unique, inquisitive beings who thrive in stimulating, fostering, challenging learning environments.’ Jane feels it her job to provide such environments. ‘I truly believe the experiences and care in the early years are invaluable to the overall development of children to adults.’ Jane is one of The Willows longest standing team members, generously sharing her expertise and enthusiasm and acting as a mentor to many of the Willows educators. She has recently enrolled in a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) to build upon her current degree and extend her skills and knowledge as an early childhood educator. Jane works a job share position with her fellow educator Meg. When she is not at the Willows, she is working at her family business. ‘We are horse trainers, I enjoy keeping busy and occupied.’ |

Joel Educator in the Butterfly Room (2-3 years) Certificate III in Children’s Services. Joel has been part of the Willows Team since 2013. Joel credits being a single parent to his 10 year old son as inspiration for wating to work with children of all ages. ‘I believe that children learn through watching, listening and most of all doing, all while feeling safe and loved in their environment.’ Joel endeavours to further his studies by attaining his Diploma of Children Services in the near future and gain qualifications in an area of special interest by studying for a Diploma in Disability Support. When not at the Willows, Joel can be found supporting the Manly Sea Eagles or camping and fishing. He would also like to share that his favourite colour is purple and he loves to have a good laugh and a joke. |
